• Albertans are already some of the most giving and generous people anywhere, and as the Alberta Highland Dancing Association relies on that vibrant giving spirit to carry out our work, we want to tell you about a new program that could make your support even more valuable.

  Alberta’s Community Spirit Program allows our organization to apply for a grant based on the amount of money donated by individuals over a 12-month period. AHDA is truly grateful to have received a Community Spirit grant for the 2008 year and put the funds to good use in hosting our provincial championships and open competition this year. The great news is we are eligible to apply for two more years.

  The more funds contributed to our organization, the better chance we have of receiving additional matching grants that will support Alberta’s highland dancers. If you choose to give to AHDA in support of Provincials, the Open Competition, operations, or for any other program or service, your gift can potentially be matched dollar for dollar by the Community Spirit Program. Your gift, in fact, could do twice as much!

  Thank you to those generous individuals who have given this past year. Your support is sincerely appreciated, and was critical to helping us secure Community Spirit funding! If you’ve given in the past, or are considering giving to AHDA, we would encourage you to do so at this time so we are able to take advantage of this important opportunity.
